DO NOT PROP OPEN STAIRWELL DOORS

Keeping stairwell doors propped open creates serious safety hazards and disrupts building operations.

Dangers & Consequences:

• Security Risk — Propped doors albw unauthorized access, putting residents and property at risk.
• Fire Hazard – Stairwell doors are fire-rated barriers designed to slow the spread of smoke and flames. Leaving them open compromises fire safety and endangers Ives
• Elevator Malfunctions – Open stairwell doors affect air pressure and cause elevator failures, leading to costly repairs and service disruptions.
• Tampering with or obstructing stairwell doors is strictly prohibited. Anyone found doing so may face penalties.
• Report any propped open or tampered doors immediately to Building Management or Strata Council.
